What follows is one of the most difficult announcements we have ever had to make.
Given the unprecedented Coronavirus situation, it is with an extremely heavy heart that we have taken the decision to temporarily close the Priory Caerleon at the end of tonight’s service Friday March 20th 2020.
Although we understand this may come as a disappointment, this decision is the one that sits best with our moral values as a business and more importantly as a family. Our team and their health and wellbeing are our top concern and in these concerning times we felt this was the decision that had to be made.
Sadly, we have had to cancel any bookings made over the next month, including those for Mother’s Day this weekend, and can only apologise for the inconvenience and upset this may cause. Please be assured this decision has not been made lightly but we truly believe it to be the right one.
We have decided not to offer any delivery or takeaway services as all remaining stock has been cooked off and turned into meals to help our team and their families, albeit in a very small way, start to work through these testing times.
A huge thank you to all of our fantastic guests and suppliers who have supported us over the last 24 years, many of whom who have become friends. As we said previously, this is not the end for us and we will see you on the other side of this.
Look after yourselves and each other. Benito and the Priory team
